Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Perhaps too much ham. — 9 months ago
Beautiful crystalline appearance in the stem, which transitions effortlessly into a seamless, focused experience on the mid-palate. The intellectual infrastructure is all present. Precision, density, complexity - choose your noun.
Notes of beeswax, caramel and white peach command your attention. Suave and sophisticated. 8:30pm on Sunday and wifey just came back from the office. If I’ve ever witnessed major job-spillage, this is exhibit A. I was left to hunt and provide for us - I feel so used… and neglected. It’s a woman’s world now. Sniff… — 9 months ago
This wine was clearly made with high aspirations, and it meets them. It’s pretty extracted, but the tannins, while still present in abundance, are starting to settle out. The nose is complex and intense. Dark cassis, graphite, fragrant high-toned smoke, even a floral note. Good acidity. The flavors coat the palate and cling with tenacity. Probably better in 3-5, but fantastic now. — 7 months ago
Deeper ruby color than you would imagine. Medium aromas of black cherry, garrigue, and lambskin leather. On the palate, dry but rich and soft and glycerin certain weight for a #pinotnoir — 9 months ago
Liked a lot! Would get again. — 7 months ago
Had to hunt a little bit for this bottle and honestly (despite my efforts) I didn't expect it to be that good. Beautiful bouquet of sour cherry, spices, red flowers and mushrooms. Well balanced, fresh, elegant and easy going. Now my only desire is to taste the same bottle in few years, seems like it has a good potential. Wonderful QPR.
