Purchased at winery: legit Priorato here with that schisty style, took forever to open, disintegrated cork, and I almost lost hope - eventually yielded stunning eclectic & complex nose of dusty minerals, cherry & blackberry compote, medicinal, spice, a hi-toned note, really evolving. Smooth rich luxurious on palate, great density & mouthfeel, tons of minerals & red & black fruit w/just enough acidity to balance it all out. Persistent finish. This isn’t their hi end bottling, and it isn’t Clos Mogador or anything like that, but this is absolutely Priorato with some more life ahead. — 3 years ago
Hi ratings for having a dry cork (that crumbled!) but the wine is still huge. Wonderful body & chewy, cherry/anise w/ terrific balance.
Really happy w/ how this wine has aged! — 4 years ago
2017 vintage. Medium body. Upon opening, fairly compact for a “resto vintage”. The usual tar and dark cherry notes. The longer this was open, the more fanciful it got. French Toast. Cola nut. Chambord. Eucalyptus. White pepper. Pomegranate/hibiscus. Transitioned into a Barolo/(red) Burgundy hybrid. Not enuff structure to go more than 4-5 years in this current uniform. Would attempt another open field tackle again in the near future tho. If you wanna crush an above-decent Barolo tonight without infanticide/ca$hi$h/non-compliant tannin issues, you could do immeasurably worse. 12.15.24. — 10 days ago

First post in a very long time after a series of personal and professional setbacks that could have ended badly. Had this beautiful GSM last night - first wine drinking in a while. It was lively with fruit, medium acidity and a long, fine finish. Hi everyone! — 3 months ago
This wine . Is amazing. Hi great berries and a full mouth — 3 years ago
Opened yesterday; on the counter overnight. On the nose: loads of loads of red fruit, toasty sandalwood, a touch of hi-toned va, and spices. On the palate: excellent hi-toned acidity, good density, wild strawberry, sour plum, some tannic bitterness..transitioning into finely grained tannins. Better than my last btl. — 4 years ago

12/24 beautiful car. 2011. $45. It was 100 % cab. Blended from various Vineyard lots. It stayed in the caravan for seven days and softened into a very well balanced California cab hi marks 89. — a day ago
