10' vintage...killer wine, gonna make a Melka groupie out of me — 8 years ago
My first Jamet and I now an official fawning groupie. Very young and still coiled tightly, but the salty, meaty, earthy flavours are all announcing themselves confidently. The acid is prominent but the mouthfeel is amazing. Punching hard but without weight. +2-3pts in 10yrs. Yum — 4 years ago
I am a perpetual groupie of mountain wine and the Mt Veeder definitely got my attention. Sure enough there’s a mayacamas connection with this winemaker. Happy to report it doesn’t disappoint on the rugged mountain character. Tannins are burly but this is less about ripe jammy fruit and more about high toned raspberry, violets, hibiscus, blood orange, leather and dried herbs. The mayacamas of Zinfandel? Sure. Right up there with the best of Ridge and Bedrock on my list of top Zins — 5 years ago
...just another Turley groupie — 8 years ago
As a Grenache groupie- I can confirm this is an amazing blend. Beautiful cherry, vanilla, oak, white floral, black licorice, and green herb. So complex, a wine that truly gets better as you drink it. Silky on the mouth. Having it on the mountain was great- brining it home was better — 5 years ago

Whatever you want to call me , Rayas fanboy, groupie, fanatic, I am guilty as charged.
After a night of drinking some very special burgundy and champagne , I pulled this out as the evenings festivities were coming to an end. No decant just a pop and pour . Like a great racehorse it overcame many challenges and handicaps before it emerged victorious . Meteorites of cherry, raspberry and mint assault your nose. In the mouth, pure red fruit is joined by pepper and earth where it all combines to stage a “sit in “ that does not end. A gift from Bacchus — 3 years ago
