Как всегда везунчик - пробка была на последнем издыхании, использовал усы для откупоривания. Мнения разошлись - нам с Викой очень зашло, Вадиму - так себе. Я был очень счастлив и с легкостью проиграл Вадиму 0:6 в дурака. Такого разгрома у меня с ним никогда не было. This is a second label from Gruaud LaRose (itself a second grand cru). Dark cherries, dark berries, blackcurrant, mixed with some herbiness and hints of eucalyptus/mint. Discernible earthiness, blended with medium tobacco and cigar box. It’s very smooth and well composed. The tannins are slightly harsh yet the finish drops off faster than I expected. This was paired with Fois gras, sea bass ravioli and medium rare rack of lamb. The fois gras accentuated the berry notes, while the succulent rack of lamb heightened the earthy tobacco notes. — 7 years ago

Vintage 2010 | Solid petit Bordeaux with good balance, warm and spicy smell. This year is a slow developer, in 375 ml tannins are phasing out, but in magnum still very obvious. Paired with chicken, haricot verts. — 2 years ago

Vintage 2001 / French bottling for Berger Roermond on 100% new oak barrels. There were times I thought: over-oaked. But nowadays I do like the truffle in smell, chocolate and especially the refinement. 18 years is a respectable age. — 6 years ago
