Asili Riserva Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2000

Outstanding and fully developed. This is slightly past the advised drinking window but I had zero complaints. It was a rich brooding wine. Plenty of vigor to go with the maturity. Grounded solidly in Italian soli and dark fruit. Fantastic. — 10 days ago

Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 1999

Mature but still with legs. Earthy, mushrooms, weighty. Solid but a bit underperforming for me. — 3 months ago

Le Rocche del Falletto Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 2014

Spectacular wine. Best to let sit 90+ minutes before drinking. Evolved nicely over several hours. Balance of richness and mature but lively fruit. Will be even better in 3-5 years. — a month ago

Barbera d'Alba 2023

Rich black cherry aromas, juicy on the palate with soft acidity and soft tannins, a round and pleasing feel that's super drinkable. I take back my comment about not really liking any Italian wine!! — 3 months ago

Roero Arneis 2023

Really well made, harmonious wine. Balanced and polished nothing really sticks out but at the same time it remains very drinkable. Enjoyed with Vitello tonato in the sun — a month ago

Speziale Verduno Pelaverga 2019

Mid cherry red in colour - translucent in parts. Red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with peppery notes. Good value at $47AUD. Slightly bitter at the end - a great food wine as expected. — 3 months ago

Bob….Congrats.
You have found a great wine from an incredible producer.
They also makes a white wine from Favorita grapes which have been genetically linked to Vermentino.
I love drinking it.
