Lovely Aussi expression of this grape. Lively flavors and smooth in it’s transitions particularly for a wine so young. Closer to a Ghemme than a Barola. Earthy, Raspberry, rose petal, dried fruit, hazelnut. Very approachable young as it is not overly tannic or acidic. — a year ago
Such a brilliant Ghemme and value. Nose of tar, roses and dried and fresh cherries. Superb and very clean aromas that have also inflections of spice. Really layered and so precise. Leather as well. Juicy and so concentrated with such stunning purity and freshness and just terrific fruit. It’s ultra compact and so sleek. Brilliant wine. This is so so well made. Polished but traditional. Juicy and so energetic and drinks well on the pop and pour. — 2 months ago
Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 10 months ago
This is from Vignetti Costacurta di Costacurta Guido. Ghemme, Italy
Sweet red cherries and citrus blossom on the nose.
This encapsulates everything great about Northern Italian 'table wine'- drinkable, even gulpable with or without food but so much more elevated with a really nicely balanced acid to fruit ratio light but present tannins and a surprisingly lengthy finish. — 2 years ago

Old 2011. Needs 3/4 years again before been ready. Great wine — 5 months ago

My first Ghemme Nebbiolo! Once it opened up it was like a rustic tomato sauce loaded up with dried oregano, almost sweet. Grippy but soft tannins. Ripe cherry and earth. Delicious. — 19 days ago
