Such a brilliant Ghemme and value. Nose of tar, roses and dried and fresh cherries. Superb and very clean aromas that have also inflections of spice. Really layered and so precise. Leather as well. Juicy and so concentrated with such stunning purity and freshness and just terrific fruit. It’s ultra compact and so sleek. Brilliant wine. This is so so well made. Polished but traditional. Juicy and so energetic and drinks well on the pop and pour.

Nice Nebbiolo from ghemme. Didn’t change a ton from night 1 to night 2 which mostly makes me feel that this needs several more years to really come into its own. The nose is excellent - classic nebbiolo bouquet, though somehow both slightly darker and more floral than expected. It’s all there on the palate including the great acid but the tannins are quite unresolved.
