Star bright rose gold. Quickly dissipating white mousse; fine bubbles. Dried apple, dried cherries, and marzipan on the inviting nose. Echoed on the medium+ palate which adds toasted brioche and light ash. Bracing acidity (of course) and a remarkably long finish that continues primarily the dried fruit aspects. Wonderful Blanc de Noirs with excellent balance between juicy fruit and acidic backbone. Drink it when you buy it. — 4 months ago

Gervais Gobillard NV Champagne. 34% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, and 33% Pinot Meunier. Aged at least two years per the bottle. Wonderful, frothy mousse and small delicate bubbles. Pure gold color. Smells like apricot, toast, and florals. Subtle and balanced, but young, which I guess is the Meunier coming through. Good with fresh fruit. — 6 months ago
