A really nice surprise and very different from most other Cotes du Rhone I’ve enjoyed.
A negocient wine from a legendary Gigondas house, 100% Syrah from two plots in Vinsobres and Gard
Medium Ruby with Medium (+) intensity and aromas and flavours of Black Plum, stewed black cherries, roast strawberries, violet, thyme, black olive and black pepper. The wine is meaty (raw bacon), gamey and smoky with leather, tobacco and liquorice.
Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+), soft ripe tannins, high alcohol but very well integrated, medium body, medium (+) intensity and finish.
Very good almost outstanding wine, just needs a little more depth, body and a longer finish. — 7 years ago
Valuuuuuuuue! Lots of complexity hidden in pure friendly fruit. Madame that made this is making a strong case for herself. — 8 years ago

Well still alive and kicking with secondary forest and leaves coming into what is left of black fruit notes. It was under ten bucks back then. Value! — 7 years ago

Anna Filipovich
Vibrant ruby with pure cherry, wild strawberry, and blackberry fruit. Subtle garrigue herbs, cinnamon spice, and a hint of licorice emerge on the nose and juicy mid-palate. Fine, velvety tannins, bright tangy acidity, and saline-mineral finish give tension and length—elegant Languedoc finesse. — 4 months ago
