Caramel, darkest brown rye bread, baked golden apple, ripe green apple and poached Bosc, lemon and orange peel, glistening hemp oils. Lemongrass, spruce, sage and basil, peach blossom, clover and candied violet waft olfactorial. Ethereally nuanced. Snappy ginger and intense lemon oil, peppercorn, ginseng, candied grapefruit ride a fiery wave across the palate. Lanolin and beeswax entertain candied ginger and cinnamon oil. This one rips the thinning veil asunder, releasing the smoky spirits of ancestral resolve; the striving, meticulous, driven and unwavering craft. Impeccable and intense in depth, breadth and expanse.

From White Horse Wine and Spirits. Obviously not my first time having this lol. Probably a 2022 vintage but it’s not labeled. Anyway, dark chocolate-covered cherries, some oak and minerals, 🍷 Happy Friday! — a year ago
First Irish Whisky. Long time Scotch drinker. Expanding palate with Bourbon and some Irish. — 4 years ago
Interesting 🤔 makes my lips numb, thought it was the hot sauce yesterday but no hot sauce today & its still has a numbing sensation🤷🏼♂️
K&L notes,
Claimed to be the world's oldest distilled drink - Poitín is the father of Irish whiskey (AKA - moonshine as we'd call it in the USA). First made by Irish monks in the 6th century in monastaries like Glendalough it was known as Uisce beatha or aqua vitae in Latin - the water of life. Today Glendalough's Poitín is triple distilled in a traditional copper pot-still using malted barley and pure spring water. It has a slightly floral nose with pretty and heady fruit tones. The taste is shockingly smooth and mellow given the 55%. Again a surprisingly fruity essence. The finish is long and lingering, a touch warming and sweet with a spicy tail — 4 years ago

Was first introduced to the Baron strangely on a trip in Ireland and liked it a lot. Enjoyed the 2015 vintage even more. — 3 years ago
Solid. Mellow goodness, unmistakable honey. Brings back memories of all the finest in rush whiskies of the past. — 4 years ago
night cap bliss, first time trying but not the last time.
Distillery notes,
The fabulous flavor of Midleton Distillery's Green Spot Irish whiskey meets the zinfandel casks of California's famous Château Montelena in this limited edition expression. The red wine influence adds a richness and a chewiness of texture to the smooth and unctuous character of the pot-distilled whiskey. Fans of heavier Irish whiskies will be thrilled by the added weight and suppleness. — 4 years ago
