Maan Saab, feels this wine is easy to drink, smooth and mild like having a chill pint of Guinness. Well I guess Maan Saab can't get over with Guinness for sure. It smells fruity, definitely feels wet and reminds Maan Saab of having 7Eleven's slurpee on a hot sunny day. A small production is this white from Fazeda Agricola Augalevada in Ribeiro-Galicia. The grapes are predominately Treixadura (80%) with a bit of Albarino and Godello. It was raised in amphorae, which gives this Ollos de Roque an additional effect. Biodynamic principles apply, so it’s just grapes and nature in a bottle. The wine is very balanced, lots of ripe white fruit, minerality and acidity. No sign of ‘tiredness’ in this 2014 vintage, after 7 years of bottleage. — 5 years ago
