Everytime I taste this wine, I’m reminded of just how much I love Merlot. When done right.
A medium purple hue with pretty lavender edges. The nose is expressive and inviting and just plain marvelous. Blackberry jam with a dollop of chocolate mousse. Dried herbs with smoke and earth. Floral notes just for good measure.
We all know and mostly love Merlot but we’re all used to big clunky examples. This is not that. Suave, svelte, and sensational. That Coombsville fruit is shining. Rich without cumbersome heft, deep without unnecessary heat. Cherries and plums on the palate with a welcome touch of earthiness. The finish is long and lusty. My favorite Merlot. — 4 months ago
Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 8 months ago
Stunned at the quality and precision of this wine. If you haven’t already, you really need to. — 3 months ago
I love sparkling wines. This is a refreshing red. I'd definitely buy again. — 6 months ago
Lovely bright mid gold with a fleck of green. Nose fresh and lifted, clean as a whistle (no Kero) pithy citrus. The palate is alive. Gripping fine acid keeps you coming back to the glass. Not overly complex but beautifully balanced. This bottle still has time in its legs. — 5 months ago
This shit. All hail merlot. — 8 months ago

This was incredible. All the complexities of great chardonnay are there - citrus, cream, mineral, brioche, roasted hazelnuts. Bready/mealy flavours are pronounced (malo) Perfect balance of fruit intensity and structure. For A$60 this is a steal! — a month ago
