@Delectable Wine
This is Siggenthaler (Weingut Erwin Umbricht-Jung).
Pinot Noir, Fluh AOC.
13.1% ABV.
Finished with a screw cap this initially showed some reduction upon opening and the wine seemed almost diluted.
On day 2 the reduction has blown off and the palate is way more balanced and concentrated.
Please don’t overlook Swiss red wines, especially with some age.

Fresh sweet cherries and raspberries with floral overtones and a warm whiff of Mediterranean herbs. Smooth on the palate, with dusty, finely grained tannins, juicy cherry acidity and a mineral, earthy undertone to the ripe, succulent fruit. As elegant as a good Burgundy, yet unmistakably Blaufränkisch from Burgenland. Very fine. — 6 years ago
Extremely creamy and smooth sparkling Chardonnay! Butter, nuts and a fine spark. Excellent. — 4 years ago
Very complex, herbal-fruit character like crataegus, peach, tender rosemary or lavender leaf. Fantastic long creamy but gracile mineral taste!!! Kind of calcareous, but tender with flowers, nuts and herbs

Like a mix between chablis and pouilly-fuisse - perfect center. Depth, elegance, tropical fruits dancing in the periphery. — 2 years ago
