Good organic forest floor, mushrooms, — a month ago
Tarter and more tannic than ‘21 but somehow maybe thinner? Either way, another delicious wine. — 2 months ago
A nice Syrah for under $30. Not an extraordinary Syrah, but it tastes like Syrah and is a good value at its price point. — 19 days ago
The 2012 Maya is fabulous. Deep and explosive, the 2012 remains quite young. Black cherry, chocolate, espresso, licorice and gravel, along with the wine's natural concentration, convey and impression of virile intensity. As good as the 2012 is today, another few years in bottle certainly will not hurt. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024)

Mum’s 59th Birthday wine. Lovely! — a month ago
Strikingly unique #malbec. Earthy dried plum, cured meat, tar, dried herbs on the nose. Lively acidity up front on tongue, stewed plum, raisin, velvety tannins on the finish. — 2 days ago
Started out fruit forward, plums, blackberries. After a little more air, it mellowed, and the rich tannins and earthiness shown thru. An hour plus in a decanter is needed. Then it is more of an old world Bordeaux. Stews, lamb, short ribs. — a month ago

NOSE: plum, tobacco, black cherry, earth…a little paint thinner.
TASTE: plum/cherry … not much different than the nose. Seems well made, but unimpressive for the price and reputation of the winemaker. 89. — a day ago
