3 grapes dry apricot and herbal character with some minerality — 4 years ago
The 2019 Fiano Terre di Dora impresses with dried flowers, incense and almond paste complemented by peach and mango notes. Silky contours usher in mineral-tinged white stone fruits, zesty green citrus and exotic spice. While gorgeous already, the 2019 offers good near-potential. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, September 2021) — 5 years ago

Thinking about Albariños; and my recent visit to this region in Spain 🇪🇸 The Galician climate receives moisture from the Atlantic and is mostly sticky, warm and rainy with rain ☔️ most days during the year. Winters are a bit harsh and cold. The humid, salt air is what this viticultural environment is all about. The mostly white wines made here are highly acidic, with notes of tart, green apple 🍏 and white flowers. This particular wine was enjoyed with a dish of Tile fish at Chef Norman Van Aken’s 1921 Restaurant in Mt Dora, FL. This wine was beautifully complex, round, dry but not overtly so. It was a delicate balance of fruit and earthiness. Sophisticated and elegant. I will look for this one again. — 8 years ago

Volcanic? Definitely needs food. Lots of acid and minerals. — 4 years ago
I think this bottle was around 14 bucks, but I would gladly pay double that for it. Smells delightful. Green apples and peach on the nose. The bottle also says there's notes of fig. Crisp but delicate, I taste peach, something tropical, and toasted almond. Yummy. — 5 years ago

This has been here awhile, reasonable and bold... it’s a Washington gig so it fits my Ora Dora — 7 years ago
If Dora was here, first she’d say this is Delicioso; then she’d sing about her back pack, and map. This is that good. — 8 years ago
One of the reasons I keep coming back to Chef Norman's 1921 in Mount Dora is for their interesting wine collection. One of the partners has been generously bringing in special bottles from his private collection. This one was beautifully aged and enjoyed by our guests. — 9 years ago
