Pop and pour. An arresting medium gold color. On the nose: pear, honey, apple, floral with a hint of cinnamon. Taste: lemon, some tangerine, pear , minerals . A firm dry wine with just a touch of sweetness that went well with all kind of food at Luce restaurant — 5 days ago
Notes of honey and beeswax on nose. Bright gold color. Rich balanced and very long. Cellared since release. Great bottle. — 23 days ago
High toned floral aromas with peach fruit wrapped in a smoky mineral veil. Lush and dense on palate with floral notes, apricot and pear fruit with a smoky spiced accent. — a month ago
Excellent precision, length, and acid. A tropical fruit Jose gives way to a mouth filling palate, but one that expresses more on the mineral than fruit side. Nice long finish with puckering acid. — a day ago
Annoyingly seem to have lost my notes on this. But this was everything I expected and more from this Riesling: bracingly acidic, juicy, long, beautiful. Excited to see how it ages. — a month ago
Beautifully aged Tokay/Pinot Gris from 1993. Apricots and green apples in the nose. Acidity meddles sweet fruit texture on the palate. A very rich, mouthfilling wine. Long zesty fruit finish. nature yet youthful. Nice now but I'd like to try it again in 7-10 years. Great wine brought into the USA by my old friend, Brian Lynch, by Kermit Lynch Wine Merchants. Yum's the word. — a month ago
The Zind Humbrecht Heimbourg Riesling kicks it off on all cylinders, ripe and powerful fruit with a deep complexity, balanced by an invigorating crushed stone minerality and a well dosed portion of kerosene. Wonderful interplay on the palate where the ripe, slightly honeyed fruit is pierced by its stony core and invigorating acidity that is lasting through the long finish. A wonderful act by a mastermind producer that makes your night worthwhile. Applause!
