A fun lil’ Pinot blend from a serious producer. Picked up from Negociant in Portland. Good stuff. — 9 months ago
Revisiting this first release of Fenaughty Vineyard Syrah 2 years later and I really like where it’s headed. Less fresh and crunchy and more resolved and elegant, showing its depth and layers. fleshy black cherry, strawberry, pastille, dried herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, incense and a granitic note. Reminiscent of Cru Beaujolais more than northern Rhone. 12.6% abv. An intriguing alpine California Syrah and an ideal pairing with rustic Berkeley-bought, French-inspired fare. — 2 years ago
Perfection in a balanced off dry? Refreshing skin contact? Riesling:) — 5 months ago
Excellent peachy bubbles! NYE — 2 years ago
Ruby lightly turbid with oranging edges.
Bramble and garrigue on nose.
Lush start with tangy acid and stem tannin velvet grip on finish.
The grip should silk out over the next few years. — 6 months ago

2020. I believe this is my first Romorantin based wine, so I read through the tasting notes here and was excited to try it. Rich orchard fruit, good acid, and definitely get the oxidized sherry-like notes some mentioned. Paired with snacks while watching the Masters. Not quite their Pimento Cheese Sandwich, but my goat cheese stuffed roasted red peppers and black olives went great with the wine! — 5 days ago
