Vino bianco tannico, come piace a me, più grezzo ma okay! Dopo un po’ nel bicchiere diventa più pulito e mieloso. Vino bianco top !! — 9 months ago

La Croix Saint Christophe

Saint Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Color of purple with some mix of burgundy. Nice legs. Nose of sweet dark cherry, hickory, currants, leather, sweet strawberry jam. Nose is a sweet bomb. Taste is drier yet follows the nose, with addition of solid and refined tannins, zest, some more bittersweet and peppery, with hidden yet balancing acidity. Clean and tasty. Aftertaste shows some more fresh grape and mineral note. Good one. — 3 months ago

Domaine des Rémizières

Hermitage Blanc Emilie 2019

Wine advocate 96, said to drink between 2031-2040 😳 guessing I opened to early K&L notes, The Desmeures family of Domaine des Remizières are fourth-generation winemakers who originally sold grapes to the local cooperative. After completing their winery in 1974, the family began production at their new property. The estate is now managed by Phillipe Desmeures, his daughter Émilie and son Christophe. They have expanded to 30 hectares with vineyards in Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Hermitage. Émilie now oversees the winemaking, with her brother Christophe tending to the vineyards. We were excited to add them to our lineup of Direct Imports last year, especially once Jeb Dunnuck proclaimed in Wine Advocate, "This estate needs to be on every reader’s short list." The Hermitage Blanc is 100% Marsanne planted in the Maison Blanche lieu-dit over clay-limestone soils. It is barrel-fermented and aged in barrique (about 60% new) for close to a year. — 7 months ago

Yes, Hermitage Blanc or Rouge really wants a decade at least.

Interesting, I don’t think I’ve ever had 100% Marsanne before. Or a white Hermitage, or maybe ever one at all come to think of it. So you think it was too early but still a 9.5? Nicccce!

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Highly drinkable for being so young,
Suckling 97 review as follows

Currant, red-tea, chili, chocolate and lemon-zest aromas. Chalk and crushed gravel, too. It’s medium-bodied with tight, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Sleek and tight with crunchy berry, mineral and zesty notes on the finish. Complex. Pretty center palate to this. Extremely polished. Try from 2025. - James Suckling

The 2018 Tour Saint Christophe represents a new level of elegance, precision and finesse for this estate in Saint-Émilion's Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes district. Silky and exceptionally polished, the 2018 oozes class. Moreover, the heavy extraction and strong torrefaction notes that marked previous vintages of the recent past have been replaced by beautifully precise, vibrant fruit. Tour Saint Christophe is one of best values in Saint-Émilion. I haven't always loved Tour Saint Christoph, but I love the 2018. It's a fabulous effort from Technical Director Jérôme Aguirre and his team. Don't miss it. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
