Have had the 2009 vintage twice, in 2024 at a tasting and in early 2025. The first was the best of the tasting, and the second was a fine compliment to spring leg of lamb. dark fruit and smooth tannins. $68 when purchased in 2024. — 21 days ago
No formal notes . Medium deep ruby , thinner rim. Quite deep and spicy nose , dark fruits , quite classic . On the palate quite dense , but rounded and suave tannin . Quite dense and meaty after a while , long and really well balanced , good length and a mineral , slate tinged finish. In this flight this was quite obvious as Latour , just the structure and density marked it out . This is a good Latour to enjoy at the moment , the tannin is polished, good freshness and density. No rush however I expect this to continue well for a least another decade , maybe more — 16 days ago
Delicate and smooth, medley of dark cherry and red fruits, bright acidity, medium tannins and very silky finish. A terrific value taking into account where it comes from. 2022 vintage is at its peak now! Paired with grilled veggies! — 24 days ago
Bright, beautiful acidity and soft minerality — 24 days ago
Way past its time but glad to open it. This is from superbowl 2 if you’re counting. Glad we opened it tonight. — 6 days ago
I’ve enjoyed Henri Giraud’s champagnes for a while, and was able to visit last Nov. This ratafia champenois was quite fun and worthy of a few bottles being brought home. From a solera of 1990-2016 vintages.
Followed over a few months (love that the wine comes with its own dedicated stopper to help preserve).
First whiff reminds me of some Cognacs I’ve had with a combo of sweet concentrated fruit (raisins) and heat, before showing a honeyed profile. There’s no nutty Sauternes like profile, but the palate is texturally similar without being cloying. Orange marmalade and golden raspberries dominate the flavors. Little bright herbal-flair, but this still shows some Cognac type flavors without the ABV punch. The oxidation is balanced and not detracting. Really enjoyable. — 2 months ago

Razor sharp. Clean with impressive acidity and a lingering finish. Perfect with oysters and stone crabs. 🦀 Very tasty — 9 days ago
