Amazingly drinkable and smooth wine from Lidl. — 4 years ago
Refreshing as a variation you are used to a diet of mainly Langhe nebbiolo. Rosehip, rowanberry and cherries in a light burgundian style. — 7 years ago

2004 1.5L Conti Sertoli Salis "Fuedo del Conte" Sforzato Di Valtellina 100% Nebbiolo aged on mantavole before steel tank fermentation followed by 24 mos. in 225 liter barriques. Only available in Italy, unless you know some Telluride ballers. Elegant reprisals of dark chocolate, aged black figs and currants, ephemeral tar and licorice notes. Phenomenal. — 11 years ago
Wow what a surprising and interesting wine. Done in amarone styling this wine must be very intense on release. At 24 years old it was still punchy but very drinkable. Layers of flavors and aromatics was actually great with the rack of lamb — 7 months ago
Surprisingly good acidity for a 10-year-old Swiss wine. And just as unexpectedly, it proved an admirable foil for pan-fried ribeyes. The fruitiness has mellowed with age. Nothing stood out especially for me, but of all the strongest note was European plum. — 6 years ago
Elegant, slim, light but complex. Very good cold climate Pinot noir. — 7 years ago
A really interesting white wine! Very fruity and somewhat acidic but still carries the tannins of a Nebbiolo. Held up nicely against a pasta with pumpkin sage cream sauce. Would love to have again! — 8 years ago
Soft, light acidity and great complexity, with the right balance of vanilla and butter notes, un regal — 9 years ago
Tried this as a branch out of my Sertoli Salis, and it's really good! Similarly, needs a good mouthful of food before drinking it to really bring it out. — 11 years ago

Popped and poured; no formal notes. Continuing our commitment to only drinking Greek wine on this trip, this Blanc de Noir made from Xinomavro was a fun way to start our meal at Salis. The zero dosage was…obvious and the phenolic bitterness was about as much as I can recall in a wine. But with some grilled octopus, this blossomed. Notes of stone fruits, underripe raspberry and loads of minerals. Acid was off the charts. Disgorged December 2022 — 3 years ago
2017 vintage hit the spot. — 7 years ago
Chardonnay Viognier. Unusual to see these two grapes blended together, but this is most successful. The finesse of the Chardonnay is well matched to Viognier's depth of flavour. Lidl 9.99 absolute bargain. — 8 years ago
This takes some time to open up. Once it does, this light-colored gives up delicate scents of cracked stones, mossy forest underbrush, and wild cherry. Lean but flavorful, with lithe flavors of crisp cherry and rock dust. Loads of acids and a bit of fine-grained tannin on the structural side. Will go nicely with the risotto I just finished and is quietly resting for a few minutes! — 8 years ago
