Nose has some brett? Weird. Some cherry. But a lot of band aid and horse. Palate has lovey cherry fruit, great freshness and purity. Energetic and precise. Nice Glou Glou. I’ll wait on the nose, as some funk is blowing off. Very clean, but the brett is an issue for me.

May 9th, 2020This wine is absolutely unreal. Do not sleep on Valtellina. Chestnut, baking spices, lean green tea and oolong tea, loads of mid season cherries and insane feral/gamey undertone. Wild wild bouquet. Love it. The palate has some of the most pure fruit you’ll ever have from an inexpensive Nebbiolo. It’s so fresh, balanced and even a hint of opulence but then cuts like a razor with terrific acids. So much vivid and pure cherry fruit with terrific structure and such purity. Long and delineated. Wonderful.

This is a terrific and classic Valtellina. Precise cherry fruit embellished with peat smoke and stony minerality. Concentrated flavors yet in a lighter, lifted style. Great acidity and such fine-grained tannin.

Nose is piercing roses. There is some Brett here that is flitting in the background. I’d advise drinking this with 4 people and when it’s on knock it back. When it’s on it’s amazing. Lilacs ?
Palate is blastingly fresh. Pure and clean Rose juice. Cherry juice. Stunning texture. Amazing. So so fresh.
Drink at 15-30 minute post open.

Simply fantastic valtellina Nebbiolo. Juicy. Elegant. Light plums. Some cherry juice. Sweet fruit. Earthy. It’s just so ... valtellina. Lovely floral finish. God I love this. Not a blockbuster but so darned pretty. Amazing texture. Almost elite elegance.
