Cuvée Les Comtes

Jean Foillard

"Cuvée Corcelette" Morgon Gamay 2015

JKT
9.0

Very nicely aged Morgon with all that Gamay ripened cherry fruit earth goodness with soft balanced profile on palate and a finish that is well, elegant? — 11 days ago

Taittinger

Comtes de Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 2013

Working is always better with Champagne. Deep acidity, bright citrus notes, racy on the palate, and a lasting finish. Cheers. — a month ago

La Cuvée Brut Champagne Blend

1/2025. Nice champagne split. Slight dryness and sits well on the palate. Paired well with my smoked salmon on toast with cream cheese. — 17 days ago

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé

Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Musigny Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Great combo but both a bit disappointing in their own way. Chambertin too much fruit not enough depth, Musigny quite light, great nose not followed by a great taste. Needs time to develop but still not meeting expectations. — 21 days ago

Domaine du Pegau

Cuvée Réservé Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2020

Fabulous CNP. Medium to full bodied, highly perfumed, garrigue, strawberry and raspberry, very smooth and elegant. Predominantly Grenache. — 24 days ago

Domaine des Comtes Lafon

Meursault-Perrières 1er Cru Chardonnay 2013

A turning point vintage for the Domaine. I don’t think anyone faired better. 2013 Perrieres while still young, is in an amazing spot, showing both richness and energy wafting spiced ripe yellow fruit, pastry cream and white flowers layered in stony minerality. The palate is full and expansive with fabulous density, focus, balanced acids and a long finish. White burg at its finest…And now these Diam corks (which began in this vintage) give aging Lafon peace of mind 😅 — a month ago
