Très bon vin à Guetaria pays basque — 12 days ago
What an incredible, deep wine. Decent smokey nose, the fruit not so aggressive, very elegant. On the palate very longlasting and full. Another dimension every 5min. Absolutely in love. One of the best Pinots I have ever had! — 7 days ago
Slightly disappointed, had higher hopes based on the reviews. Although company was great, NYT, couch, candle, cheeseboard. #CPtheVP — 25 days ago

One of the best champagnes I’ve ever had. Had at panchas after a long night lol. Still showed so beautifully. — 11 days ago
At Cindy’s with Fing. Mistaken bottle. Golden color, clearly aged with touch of oxidation but lots of complex aromatics. Excellent — 2 months ago

“Clos de la Barre” is a lieu dit monopole that has been owned by the Lafon family since 1894.
Opened sometime prior to dinner. The 2018 “Clos de la Barre” pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with apples, pineapple, white flowers, a whiff of matchstick, lemon, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and creamy. A really pretty wine. Perhaps even a little shy tonight. Quality is unquestionably high. Drink now through 2038. — 5 days ago
