Rich tannins, some sense of red berries, terroir, earthy - great for the price! — 4 years ago
8 hours or so decanted, double decanted, brought this around nicely. Again another wine this evening that only got better. Big, bold tempranillo that has some resolved, velvety tannin of a wine of 15+ years but the fruit of wine maybe 7-8 years old...mostly primary, but deep. — 5 years ago
Lettdrikkelig, tørr og litt sur. Lukter jordbær, smaker hint av grapefrukt? Veldig god! — 6 years ago
Straw lemon yellow color with aromas of fresh white flesh fruits, floral and oaky spice notes. On the palate flavors of pear, ripe apple and white peaches with honeysuckle, herbs and oak notes. Medium+ finish, ending with fruit, spice, oak and a citrus mineral character. — 4 months ago
Robust and earthy. Dark and brooding blackberries, plum. Smooth organic. Great finishing tannins, minerals. — 7 months ago

Yves Leccia’s 2019 Île de Beauté IGP Rouge is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Niellucciu, hailing from the northerly appellation of Patrimonio, Corsica.
Île de Beauté – the namesake for many wines produced on the island – translates to ‘island of beauty’ in English.
This is a beautiful wine, indeed. It is medium ruby with ripe cherry, strawberry, and kirsch notes leaping out of the glass; it also offers licorice, fennel, violet, and subtle meaty characteristics. The fruit is unmistakably intense and concentrated. I suspect it’s a reflection of the dry, sun-soaked climate on this beautiful, mountainous Mediterranean Island.
This is such a versatile and food-friendly wine – it’s definitely worth a taste if you have the chance (preferably while gazing upon Corsica’s coastal seascapes). Cheers to the wines of Corsica! — 4 years ago
