Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 9 months ago
Nice and light, great berries and definitely pepper. Really great easy drinking yet quite interesting light red. Could not find a vintage anywhere though… NV?? — 9 months ago
One of those wines I’d been meaning to try for a while and just hadn’t gotten around it. One of these modern compelling white blends. Pretty interspersed with lots going on. Little hint of elder flower on the nose and umami on the palate. More interesting than savory. Cheers. — a year ago
Very tasty. Sweet and earthy. Intense flavor. From Howie, February 2021. — 5 years ago
Didn’t even need a decant, this babe was ready to go the second I popped the cork. This was all dried blackberries and dark plum with sturdy tannins begging for a rack of lamb. — 6 years ago

Very nice skin contact wine from outside Bologna. Fresh acid, depth with apricots, citrus, a little bit of tannins and yeast. — 6 months ago

Bright and fresh, yet stood up to the Tuscan short ribs, polenta and arugula salad like a champ. Delicious! — 6 years ago
Needs food but not the spiciest red. And not too dry either. This is happens to be the strongest wine we tried tonight (1/8/2026) — 6 months ago
Tart red cherry aromas and taste, light and fizzy.
