Riva de la Rosa

Toscana Vermentino 2022

This wine is lip smacking delicious! Floral, juicy Georgia peach, lemon, almonds, and flint. Local grocery/wine liquor department grocery cart "Clear it out" for $5! First Vermentino. I should have bought more! Appreciate the 12.5% alc. — a month ago

Riva Ranch Heritage Block Chardonnay 2021

I’m getting citrus and fruity notes from this one. I am surprised I like this. It has a light body and is easy to drink. Yay — 2 years ago

Monier de La Sizeranne Hermitage Viognier Blend 2011

A fun New Years competition between Riva and Sizerrane. Both are winners. Though I’d say Riva had it by a nose. It was dense and deep. I loved the burnt caramel meat after two days in a decanter. The Siz was more elegant upfront and had a very long enjoyable finish that was haunting. Good stuff for 2023! — 3 years ago

Verdicchio di Matelica 2022

Verdicchio is always great with fish. Had cod with a lemon/ wine/ butter sauce and this was good. Not the most memorable or expressive verdicchio I’ve had, but nice. Minerally, good acidity and subdued fruit. I find the ones from Metalica have less of that signature almond taste than those of Jesi. — 5 months ago

Yeah those Metallica Verdicchios don’t rock like they used to.
