Les Chétillons consists of three aged parcels of vines, ranging from 45 to 70+ years of age which are situated in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil sur Oger. This legendary cuvée is known for its incredible combination of elegance, precision, brisk acidity and intense minerality, and it certainly does not fall short in this vintage as the 2010 is another sensational release from Rodolphe Péters. This gorgeous Blanc de Blancs immediately impresses with its stunning aromatics of fresh orchard fruits, lemon zest, orange blossoms, chalky minerals, crushed hazelnuts and toasted brioche which all take shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this fresh and vibrant, displaying a gorgeous fine texture, with striking elegance and purity. This goes on to impress with its outstanding balance and precision, as flavors of orchard fruits, white flowers and toasted brioche are underlined by lovely minerality and crisp acidity leading up to the dazzling finish. Simply put, this is an excellent vintage for Les Chétillons, and while this cuvée has the track record to age gracefully, the 2010 offers excellent upfront appeal and is drinking beautifully today. — a month ago
Sea breeze smell, with a fresh lemon melon Brie flavor, sophisticated and inviting (which is accurate), a well cooked sugar cookie, the taste is smooth and structured, with lemon, melon, herbs (but like ones that are not fresh but I mean that in a good non-domineering way) and the lemon comes to an abrupt haul and the acid just sits there and you look off the cliff of a stopping point that defines the taste, the end the is the end of a lemon drop and that’s all. The complexity comes to that simple point and that and the juxtaposition of the semi cheesy smell and deep lemon acid tastes make this wine a meal in and if itself — 17 days ago
Celebrating nearing the end of eating outside for 2019 . Beautiful honey & apple scents on the nose . Joined in the mouth by judicious acid and hints of citrus . Great accompaniment to our grilled portobellos. Love .375’s. Psychological score would be much higher😊 — 9 days ago
To borrow a page from @Anthony Lombardi postings, today Eddie Money passed away @ 70 years of age. Too soon!
So many childhood memories to his music. Was he the GOAT of Rock N Roll? Not exactly. But, he left his mark none the less. I find it’s memories that make music & wine greater.
So Eddie took his “Ticket to Paradise” and got himself “Home Tonight!” For all the great music and memories, I raise a glass of this appropriately choicen Champagne because of its bottling designation and say, cheers to Eddie Money. RIP Eddie. 💰 🎷 🎸 🎶🥂 — 3 days ago
