Louis Jadot Marsannay Blanc 2014 $30.
Marsannay, the village marking the No. gateway to the Côte d'Or, leaving Dijon, capital of Burgundy, home to Ducs de Bourgogne, marking the beginning of Route des Grands Crus. Marsannay received its Appellation in 1987, recognition of the high quality of its wine. Pale straw with complex aromas of light stone fruits and sweet spice. On the palate some sour apple with vanilla and nutty flavors, notable high acidity on lingering finish ending with generous mineral tones. — 10 years ago

Bel équilibre vin très plaisant — 3 years ago
This was really interesting. Loved the aroma and the flavors continued to evolve over a few days. The nose was a bit earthy and funky. Soft attack, red and black fruits, gentle pepperiness on the finish. Good acidity. Didn’t go well with a red pasta sauce, but I’d easily drink this again. Thanks Jason! — 5 years ago

The Coquillette family is known mostly for Saint-Chamant; a house their family founded in the 1930’s. Stephane Coquillette now runs the operation and while he remains committed to his focus on Chardonnay for Saint-Chamant, his desire to work with Pinot Noir is expressed through his eponymous label.
Popped and poured; no formal notes. The “Cuvee Les Cles” is a Blanc de Noirs exclusively sourced from the village of Aÿ and therefore 100% Grand Cru. It’s a beautiful expression of Pinot Noir with a lovely mix of strawberries and raspberries. The fruit profile was generous which gave it an almost round impression even though the dosage was rather modest at 5g/l. The finish was rich and very enjoyable. A very lovely way to start the evening.

Great from the first taste — 6 years ago
Michael Larfage's monopole vineyard Clos Du Chateau Des Ducs 2013. The second bottle of my 6-pack burgundy tasting. Compared with D'Angerville, darker ruby color, more raspberry on the nose, concentrated considerably heavier body, no hint of new oak influence, same bright acidity and firmer tannin. Will require more time to soften the tannin and develop further nuances. — 9 years ago
