Medium gold color, looking a bit darker than it should at this age. POX notes on the nose including some light butterscotch and ripe oaky chardonnay. Lacking acidity with subtle fruit. Has no Chablis-like characteristics. Had a 1990 Raveneau recently that was more fresh than this. OK to drink, but doesn't have the attributes you're looking for with Chez Raveneau. — 4 years ago

Tasted at the producer, this is a primeur / pleasure to drink young vintage. 100% Cabernet-Franc. Light purple color, clear and limpid. Raspberry and herbaceous nose. Supple mouth blending raspberry, notes of cedar, cypress.
Slightly acidity, but the typical Touraine mineral structure, reminiscent of slate, pencil lead, or charcoal, bringing a refreshing salivating tension. On salads, aperitif-dinners, cold meats, cheese pastas, it's easy to drink, and pleasant.

Goûté chez le producteur, c’est une cuvée primeur/plaisir à boire jeune. 100% Cabernet-Franc. Robe pourpre légère, claire et limpide. Nez framboise et herbacé. Bouche souple mêlant, framboise, notes de cèdres, cyprès.
Acidité peu marquée mais la trame minérales typique de la Touraine, évoquant l’ardoise, la mine de crayon, ou le charbon, apportant une tension salivante rafraîchissante. Sur des salades, apéro-dînatoire, charcuterie, pastas fromage, c’est facile à boire, et plaisant. — 6 years ago

Absolument wow! Au Pere Bise, 210 euros !!! Un vol si on compare le prix chez les cavistes. Le vin a une amplitude et une profondeur incroyable. Le millésime transparaît et le vin semble etre moins droit, vif et minéral que d’autres millésimes, ce qui pour moi n’est pas un defaut. La bouche est gorgée de fruits exotiques, de citron, de miel. Drank side by side with 2007. This 08 has the edge for greater intensity, depth and weight. 4 hour decant for each, and that is always key with Raveneau or you’ll never experience the true magic of Chez Raveneau. — 5 years ago
