Figs & chevre 👍😋 — 7 years ago
Nose has leather, earthy strawberry, prune, cranberry and light cedar.
Palate has cherry-strawberry juice, tobacco, ripe plum, sweet flowers; soft tannins, so approachable! Drink up in the next few years, I do not believe this wine is for longer term aging, plus it's in a prime enjoyment window now!
57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot & 10% Petit Verdot
We paired this with a beautiful sirlion, cooked in the sous vide bath then finished on the stove, accompanied by roasted beets with local goat chevre. The earthiness of the beets is always a wonderful pair to Bordeaux, IMO. — 7 years ago
Aroma is passion fruit and a slight bit of jasmine. Color is a gorgeous melted butter— slightly cloudy and kind of like the color of a kitchen in the 70s. Upon swirling the aroma gets nuttier, deeper, almost slightly like chlorine but if chlorine were sweet (?). Honestly, the smell is really good. As the wine warms up, this wine gets really savory like a bag of salt and vinegar chips. And a little buttered popcorn. Really good. The finish is long to enjoy these flavors, but not overwhelmingly so. Really into this wine. — 8 years ago

Strawberries & cream, smooth and seductive. Perfect after a day's Autumn sun in Eze (at Chevre D'Or)... — 9 years ago
Rich and savory without being heavy. Notes of plum, strawberry, honey, fig, and a (pleasant) finishing note of chevre. — 5 years ago

This one was just fine! The nose was chevre cheese, cut strawberries, gooseberry, unripened peppercorn, gravel, saline. Additional swirling revealed apricot, floral Rose, Floral tea. The Taste was dried strawberry, salted red fruit medley, orange rind, cranberry juice, rain-runoff, lime juice. This was lively but level-headed, with heavy minerality in the back to balance the fruit and citrus and to keep you thirsty. Also, on the other end, it's vibrancy kept me energized rather than feeling like I was just licking a wet limestone. The Empty Glass smelled strongly of peppery creamy cheese. — 8 years ago
A spendy $38 but worth every penny. Subtle, aromatic, minerality (power of suggestion?). Well balanced. Do yourself a favor and buy some nice chevre to go with it. — 8 years ago
Was fun to pop open this bottle to see where it's starting. Hit me like god's apple juice. Not in a profound place, but beautiful, vivacious chenin that paired really well with dishes like strawberry salad and asparagus and radish with chevre and puffed quinoa. Will try to hold until 2020 for next bottle. — 9 years ago
Fresh bright nose. Prominent raspberry amongst red fruit sweet palate. Dryish finish with final kick. Amazingly good with chevre. Survived well in bottle overnight. Enjoyed. — 9 years ago

A big, silky white with prominent non-friut aromas... floral (almost petrol), herbs and minerals... and hints of yellow apple and lemon. Lush on the palate with some citrus acid and lingering minerals. Paired with halibut cheeks over chevre-sauced pasta. Happy birthday to me!! — 3 years ago
