Very smooth tannins. Quite a delicate wine. Ripe fruits. Cigar box and sous-bois. Very nice.

My first Petrus was a very special thing. So intense and seductive, really something out of the ordinary. It kept begging my nose going back to the glass and harmoniously gave back so much pleasure. Could feel its presence very clear after a few minutes. Incredible. 98-100. Unique and delicious. — 14 days ago
Rather bold with strong aroma, this is definitely not a light blend. This would go really well with Lamb Shank or Blue Cheese. This seems to have a tinge of higher tannin with an aftertaste taste of perhaps blackberry. But less of the sweetness — 10 days ago

Dark, glass-clinging reddish purple with near opaque core. Lush, inviting nose of baked plum and dark berry cobbler. Equally lush, full palate echoes the nose adding juicy red plum, blackberry, and fruit ash. Velvety medium tannins entry to finish. Medium acidity. Lengthy, dark finish. Can't really go wrong with Pomerol, and this wine is further evidence of that. A good solid vintage from the house that put Michel Rolland on the map. Drink now through 2029. — 14 days ago
