Medium lemon colour . Very fine quite persistent perlage . Quite strict and mineral on the nose , with chalk dust , oyster shell then lemon pith , honeysuckle, toasted brioche. Quite taut and focused on the palate , but with good intensity with mineral , lemon peel , brioche and lightly nutty hints . Good freshness and really good length . This is showing quite young but enjoyable now , will probably improve further over the next few years and hold well over the following 5-10 years . — 22 days ago

Quite deep ruby , narrow ruby rim. Deep and more concentrated on the nose , with dark cassis , ripe summer fruits , dark cherry , grafite , oyster shell notes. On the palate this is quite rich and decadent , cassis , ripe blackberry , blueberry a, dark cherry . Sweet but ample tannin , balanced acidity , quite rich but well balanced , good blackcurrant, grafite tinged , length . This is showing well but will continue to do so over the next 10-15 years , perhaps longer . — a day ago

On the palate: dissipating tannin, softening cedar, emerging black cherry fruit and soft sandstone.
This is a big, beautiful Bordeaux at its peak with all the softness in the last sip that comes with age.

Expensive but worth it. This Bordeaux is just right now. Paradigmatic Pauillac with deep brooding flavor and bitter finish. Tannins are perfectly smooth. Perfect with steak or on its own while listening to music while contemplating the meaning of life. All of the leather, earth, and tar one can expect from a fine Pauillac and under $100. — 6 days ago
