From farfar’s cellar. Opened with Will and Monika and Kalen and Hugo. Tough to get the cork out but I did a yeomans job. Developing very well over time, started a bit astringent on the finish but now showing much more structure. Beautiful. — 8 months ago
2016 vintage. Dirk Niepoort's answer to Burgundy and it actually has a Pinot Noir like colour and mouthfeel. This is a very unusual Douro from very old vines. Delicate nose with sour cherries , pomegranate and flowers. It is all about finesse and subtlety. Very long. Delicious and expensive (80 euros), but if you see the prices of Portuguese high end wines these days it almost seems a bargain. — a year ago
Needs a bit of air before it straightens out, but then it really shines (in its speacial way) — 4 months ago
Loooove this one. Notes of salted caramel. Might have been the weed and hot tub talking though... — a year ago
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 25 days ago
