Honeysuckle, Crenshaw melon, pear, and gasoline on the nose. Slight glue/paste. Very very concentrated, almost syrupy. Background of gentle Christmas spices over massive lemon curd. Oyster brine. Spice notes integrate more with air. Sophisticated stuff!!! — 2 years ago

This feels like what all of the best “funky” orange wines without extreme skin contact are gesturing towards, their platonic ideal. But it isn’t a static edifice of an ideal, rather a great vibrating energy vortex, changing from minute to minute. Marmalade, spot prawn heads, salt, new sneakers, gooseberries, Bacardi limon, pickled red onion, sherry, green tomatoes, curry leaf, Hoja Santa, cilantro stems, seville orange. This is ripping. white fleshed melon, finger lime, lemon basil. Big acid but very balanced with a featherweight sweetness, multidimensional in a way the barrel x isn’t. Grapefruit and pomelo. Mexican oregano. Tension in the acid almost feels like the beginning of carbonation. Just goes and goes. Wow. — 2 years ago

Purchased from Costco. Drinking at home in the final days of Kalen’s pregnancy. On the nose honeysuckle, sunscreen on saltwater wet skin at the beach, cantaloupe. Tasting very bright acid, pomelo, key lime, sorrel and lemon basil. Puckering sour apple candy taken into the mouth directly after drinking a sip of ice melt watered down Minute Maid lemonade from a movie theater soda fountain. — 2 years ago

Picnic with soraya and Danny and kalen and Hugo, kalen told the birth story and we had lots of conservas and some very nice cheese and Clark street bread. Very nice, went great with conserva. Need more! This was a wing hop fung bargain table score. — 2 years ago
