Slightly rounded and red fruit focused sous bois on the palate , quite high acidity , but refined and red fruit focused. Slightly green tannins , but overall reasonable mineral tinged length . Deep opaque plummy purple, good legs. I smell vanilla, blackberry, and... gummy vitamins? Full bodied and very fruity. I wish the tannin was more present, it'd balance out the fruit better. I'll give it some air and see what's what. — a month ago

This is the Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé Réserve. It’s made with a blend of Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (35%), Meunier (25%). It’s a non-vintage wine that cellared in Charles Heidsieck’s famous chalk cellars (crayeres) for 4+ years.

It’s a beautiful salmon hue in appearance and offers complex aromas and flavors including strawberry shortcake, lemon curd, fresh raspberry, baked peach, pie crust, brioche, cream, nougat, toasted almond croissant, candied nuts, and dried pink rose petals. On the palate is a fine and creamy mousse and vibrant acidity.

It’s positively delicious, complex, and balanced. A non-vintage that drinks like a vintage champagne. Yum! — 14 days ago

Deep ruby color with a slight orange hue to the edges and maybe a hint of purple DEEP in the middle. Medium to full bodied, with a bold nose that features a little of everything from licorice and beautiful, silky red fruits, even some sweet jam like notes, like fig jam with vanilla, to hints of violet and deep notes of rich soil, fresh sponge cake and even some hints of fresh mint. The palate is rich and voluptuous, with dark cherry, cranberry and cassis notes, coca, violet and graphite on the finish. Silllky, perfectly integrated tannin, it’s big but light on its feet. There’s even a long meaty, iron like note that emerges and warms to the end, like a second wave, that even has some Doritos chips like notes. — 2 months ago
