1hr+ decant. This was great, but did fade faster than expected so I’d drink up. Very complex nose and palate that can only be found in higher end Bordeaux’s. Great depth and long finish. Not sure if this is being produced any more, but if it is, I’m a buyer. — 9 months ago

Pretty rich for a 2011. The CabFranc in the drivers seat. Want to see this in day 2 & 3. Perhaps if it holds up then it gets bumped up. Bumped… — 2 years ago

Classical Right Bank of Bordeaux blend of Merlot 60%, Cab Franc 35%, Malbec 3%, Cab Sauv. 2%, this particular V.2020 delivers an incredible array of soft ripen cherry aromas, decent structure, not so highly complex, but it has few layers of mulberry compote, dark cherry and açai berry, balanced acidity, nice hint of oak in the mid-range.
The most remarkable aspect was the soft tannins and its smoothness is so inviting that its finish provided a subtle savory taste at the back end of the palate. Awesome!
This wine will give the full round for the money, accessible price point that outperforms seamlessly, a crowd pleaser!

On the nose, expressive and elegant, Chateau Vieux Pourret has aromas of ripe fruit. On the palate, this wine is supple, round and velvety. — 3 years ago
