Très jeune, trop jeune... j’adore le Beaucastel vieilles vignes. Celui-ci ne fait pas exception. Le vin est pataud, riche, pas d’acidité, mais la texture en bouche est splendide et la finale ultra longue. À ce stade le vin est un peu sur les agrumes, les fleurs mais principalement sur le miel. Bien sur encore très jeune mais tellement prometteur. 92-93

Constant notes, this one has a more muted nose at first then opens up to a mineral stony profile, light pastry aromas, honey, buttery slightly and very Chardonnay like. A very smooth, and creamy palate with great tension, vivid and intense, yet finesse, class and elegance are there, very small and tight bubbles, long delicious finish with that irresistible mixture of energy and class. 93-94

Notes constantes, nez plus discret au départ que la dernière bue il y a quelques semaines mais le nez ouvre sur une belle minéralité, brioché et très Chardo en style, fruits blancs, un peu miellé et beurré. Bouche crémeuse avec une acidité appuyée tout en étant d’une finesse, d’une classe et délicatesse indéniable, bulles très fines tout en étant delicatement crémeuses, une finale assez longue avec cette énergie et classe irrésistible. 93-94 — 5 years ago

The exact wine not in Delectable database but very close. This was the 6th and final wine in the matching wine/degustation. 100% Grenache grown on Black Schist. Another unusual wine and producer you don’t often see - a Vin Doux Naturel from Roussillon - sweet ripe fruit. This wine capped off a memorable degustation (the food was amazing) with matching wines. I had not visited Restaurant Dan Arnold before but can thoroughly recommend it. — 2 years ago

Round and supple, with a very generous body on the usual notes of well-crafted Syrah: blackberries, blueberries, chocolate, roasting, caramel, tapenade, pepper, violet. The attack is fresh, and the finish not that long, but the whole is very mastery. The perfect wine for grilled meat, pepper or shallot sauce.

Rond et souple, avec un corps très gourmand sur les notes habituelles de la Syrah bien travaillée: mûres, myrtille, chocolat, torréfaction, caramel, tapenade, poivre, violette.
