A really interesting champagne. A pure & lovely expression of Meunier, especially with the riper fruit, lower dosage and much lower pressure. Cloves, hazelnut, vanilla, mushroom/earthy quality, rose and cranberry on the nose. Soft cherry jello, baking spice and fresh herbs on the palate. A vinous champagne you can pair (and we did) with lamb sausage, that’s deep but subtle. Somehow missing the exclamation point, the hook, etc. leaves me craving the Laherte Freres Ultra Tradition Rosé. Little else can match that wine’s freshness and vivaciousness. — 3 months ago
