Per usual, Decanter rankings have no connection to reality — 20 days ago
80% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, 3% Mazuelo and 5% Grenacha of 90-year-old vineyards on a limestone soil, with a boulder surface in “Las Laderas” and more sandy in “Calitrancos”, located in Ollauri. Ferments in stainless, malolactic and subsequent aging in foudre of French oak. Black fruit, red, floral, mineral, toasted, wide, corpulent, fine, complex, with freshness, elegant and long. No Bot 4594 / 4951. Now it’s a good time to enjoy it! — 5 months ago
Wowie holding up great. Thought it was raisiny to start with but it then went in reverse and tightened up with an hour. Really lovely dried herbs, red fruits, sandalwood and a little nag champa. Stellar and super fun to try a 22 year old Pinot. It could be nothing other than California and honestly SLH in particular which is a good thing because Burgundy belongs in burgundy and the Pisoni’s belong in SLH. Bravo — 2 years ago
Nice acidity. Feels like moderate dense, fresh and clear in — a month ago
Way smoother than what I have anticipated. — 9 months ago

Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — 6 days ago
