Nose: sweet baking spices, vanilla. Plum and dark berries - but the aforementioned flavors much more prominent than fruit. Taste: Amber herbs, distinct tobacco (it distinctly tastes the way tobacco smells, I can almost picture loose tobacco), the tannins add a nice bitterness to balance the sweet impression of the spices - bitter plum. I am having trouble picking out a lot of distinct flavors, but “simple” doesn’t seem like the right word - more subtle than simple. This seems very well made for the price ($10). Not my preferred style, but may buy again - worth it. 89. EDIT: black pepper and a lot more fruit (very ripe raspberry) shows as it gets air. I may have liked it better right out of the bottle. — 5 years ago
Glouglou indeed! Fresh strawberries and just the right amount of brett.
Updating because of a coincidence too fortuitous not to document/share: I just learned that my current boss/winemaker for Goldeneye was herself a harvest intern at Domaine Binner back in ‘14 and has lots of great anecdotes... — 7 years ago
I love the smell!! The taste is very smooth for me — 8 years ago
Color : White
Wine estate : Coca I Fitó
Designation : Terra Alta
Name : Jaspi d'Or
Country : Spain
Vivino : 4/5
Note : With 80% of Grenache Blanc, it's almost like a white Châteauneuf. A golden robe, a peachy nose. Once in the mouth, the floral side is revealed with candied citrus notes. Beautiful minerality and expression. — 8 years ago
05.01.25-Marimba Seafood - awesome flavors pairs great with seafood starters — a year ago
Medium ruby color; strawberries, dried herbs, and cherries on the nose; high acidity, high tannins; tastes like raspberry jam, crushed gravel, and white pepper with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it. I think it's very good and very drinkable. I would definitely buy this again. It gets even better after some aeration. — 3 years ago
2015 in 3/20. Glorious!!!! Soooooo wish I bought more of this. Skin contact Zibibbo from AUSTRALIA!!! 13%. 70 yr old Bush vines. 150 days in clay. Stone fruit, cooked citrus marmalade, ginger-esque something. So aromatic, delicious and fun!! Need more stuff like this around the Orl area. This was from the Winebarn tstg in WP and from Mary Elizabeth table. — 6 years ago
A huuuuge wine, less in body than in the punch it packs - tannins are mighty but they are nicely integrated into the green olive, peppery finish. The nose is loaded with smoked meat and sweet BBQ. Decanting is a must here and I really enjoyed how it developed over the night. By the end, I was tasting a Christmas spiced plum jam! — 7 years ago
WNH event number 4. Perfect Pizza Pairing bottles. Not a bad bottle in the bunch!
My contribution. I was told that even though this is a Rosé, it drinks like a pinot. Couldn’t agree more. Dark ruby in the glass. Aromatically it was ripe strawberry, sage and vibrant citrus notes. Concentrated, yet light on the palate. Bing cherry, dragon fruit, watermelon finish. Incredible Rosé that should be viewed as a pinot. — 8 years ago

Fruity blossomy fragrances as it's full flavor touches your tongue! The balance in acidity is a welcome to that a tempranillo should always be...superbly just a very refreshing finish with taste I can only compare it as a continuous dark chocolate dark cherry cordell from start to finish with the fruit down the center of the palate and the dark chocolate around it in a continuity that's just plain delicious! — 4 years ago
Finfin start men lite beskare ju längre ner i flaskan man kommer, tyvärr. Men inte hästkiss detta. #TNWC — 5 years ago
Less oak than I expected and I liked that. Gorgeous, pretty, restrained. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Served blind to a few of us by @Weston Eidson . My initial, and final call, of this was ‘14-‘15 Napa Cab. Honestly, hard to put it anywhere else. A more ripe and rich version with an overwhelming amount of baking spices, bruised dark fruits and fig on the nose. Low acidity and an overall “soft” profile...tannic, but not overly so. Nutmeg, cocoa shavings, baked mixed berry pie and just a hint of dust/chalkiness to it. Super approachable now. Julien Fayard makes wonderful wines and I think this, along with his Matthew Wallace wines, are the most enjoyable young. — 7 years ago
Delicious Chianti with bright cherry notes — 8 years ago
Happy to find this wine when I did. Showing tons of “other than fruit” characteristics on the nose, this wine smells older than it is. Little bit of bret, but the good kind! Dark black fruit and olive tapenade waft out of the glass while blackberry seed, tobacco and black cherry leaf the way on the palate. The body is full in the middle but lean on the edges because of the bright acidity which lifts the wine throughout. Drink now through 7-13 years! — 8 years ago
