A huuuuge wine, less in body than in the punch it packs - tannins are mighty but they are nicely integrated into the green olive, peppery finish. The nose is loaded with smoked meat and sweet BBQ. Decanting is a must here and I really enjoyed how it developed over the night. By the end, I was tasting a Christmas spiced plum jam!
