The ripeness and softness of this surprised me very much. Quite nice, though it should have been had with food, and/or open for much longer. This stuff can age a good long while.

Dec 29th, 2013A huuuuge wine, less in body than in the punch it packs - tannins are mighty but they are nicely integrated into the green olive, peppery finish. The nose is loaded with smoked meat and sweet BBQ. Decanting is a must here and I really enjoyed how it developed over the night. By the end, I was tasting a Christmas spiced plum jam!
