Los Carneros Chardonnay 2015

ESF
9.2

Wowza - this has darkened & fattened up nicely - this is a hedonistic delight: all kinds of yellow stone fruit, dead sexy, coconut & beeswax, broad unctuous silky and absolutely delicious — 5 days ago

Very smooth but bold flavor. Different than anything I remember. Love it!
Goes well with buffalo wings surprisingly.

Los Osos Paso Robles Merlot 2018

Like Paso Robles wines and trying to expand my Merlot (they are my wife’s favorite). Fruit forward, slight spice and just all around good with a stew. — 14 days ago

Sinodo

Los Tollos Tempranillo 2017

Blend of Tempranillo (97%) with some Mazuelo and Malvasía Blanca from a tiny 0.24 hectare plot in Villamediana de Iregua, about 6 kilometers south of Logroño. Planted in 1986 and rooted in shallow sandy soils, the vineyard had been abandoned and was on the brink of being pulled out when Sínodo found it. After years of meticulous work on the vineyard, Los Tollos was recently designated as viñedo singular, the top-tier in Rioja’s new classification system, roughly equivalent to grand cru. Dark fruit, earthy and smoky notes and hints of chocolate on the nose. Elegant, serious, concentrated. One of my favorite Rioja producers. — 19 days ago

Finca Los Aljibes

Selectus Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Red Blend 2007

Complex yet accessible, and drinking incredibly well after aging 14 years! A rich nose full of blueberry & plum with tertiary aromas of tobacco & milk chocolate.  Continues to a well balanced pallate with medium-high tannins & bright acidity with flavors of stewed fruits & raisin with allspice, leather & sage present through a long finish.  Even not accounting for the price this is an outstanding wine, and a perfect pairing for 24 hour dry aged strip streak!

I’m not mad at it alls faktiskt. — 12 days ago
