Mild grassy scent, strong guava scent, which really brings out the grape scents well.
It's a lovely light yellow, almost white in certain lighting.
First sip makes my mouth water, definitely getting that guava flavor with a lemon and green apple aftertaste. I'm not usually fond of tart wine, but this one is pretty unique. Enjoy chilled.

Star bright straw gold in the glass. Inviting though relatively subtle nose of gooseberry/grapefruit. These are on the palate as well with a distinct mineral note running alongside the medium plus acidity from entry to finish. Not your father’s NZ SB as that mineral note actually comes across as more “French-adjacent” than Kiwi. While still not very complex, it definitely shows more nuance than most of its peers. Well, it took me an extra day to fully enjoy it, also too in order to make vanish the clear sensations of the 2 pinots I drank just yesterday and the day before which were delicious

Day 1: Felton Rd was so much fleshier, even a little hot. I know it had to be different, but in the comparison it definitely lacked elegance, harmony and enjoyment. Though it had personality
Day 2:another wine, fully enjoyable, very defined, focus, pleasant. Not hot anymore. Still thousands of kms away from Burgandy, like it should be (but also so apart from others Central Otago pinots)

Sunday night and tonight's wine is the 2018 Loveblock Pinot Noir from Central Otago, New Zealand.
On the nose there is strawberry, cranberry, cherry, cola, caramel, vanilla and a mineral dust soil component.
On the palate there is nice fruit, cranberry, cherry, raspberry, clove, herbs, mint and dusty soil.
This is a medium bodied wine that has a smooth mouth feel, medium + acidity with medium fine tannins that move right into a medium to long fresh fruit finish. Have a wonderful week ahead and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 20 days ago

It has been awhile since I have had a NZ Sauvignon Blanc! Has anyone else noticed as you get older you have to monitor certain foods before having a highly acidic wine (acid reflux)!😩
This SB is great...I would say presenting with less acidity comparably to others
The color is clear with a tinge of yellow. What sets this apart is a fuller body with tropical fruit along with grapefruit and lemon..less of a gooseberry element and a pleasant long finish!
