Uvaggio Coste della Sesia Rosso Nebbiolo Blend 2017

92+

Another great Alto Piemonte producer that needs to be on your nebbiolo radar!

Drank over two days, this really got going on day two with the structure and typicity of Nebbiolo coming through. Day one it drank a little more primary, velvety fresh with rich red fruits, florals, and a softer feel to the texture - extremely enjoyable! Day 2 the structure of the tannin and acidity really came through, with the nose ratcheting things up with roses, currants, a touch of tar, spices and blood orange peel. Texturally it gained fortitude as well with everything perfectly integrated and in harmony.

Definitely getting more!

From the family at Isole e Olena in Castellare Chianti Classico in Tuscany - the family is of Piemonte in origin and this is the legacy of the family there in Coste della Sesia.

Previously rated on Delectable but Delectable deleted... again they are acting bizarre...deleted not only many wine ratings but my original bio!

This is a VERY nice wine (gasp, it's that "word"...!), a very drinkable vino, great value for full flavor, balance, and flavor, balance and flavor balance. 2017 vintage. Previous rating on this wine was simply that this is an excellent Tuscan blend...still true...that does not mean equal to a a top notch Castellare or Antonori, but full flavored with perfect tannin, medium body & deep berry...very nice on the palate. Enough.
