Winery located in Alba, Piedmont region founded in 1881. Great Grandson, Pio Boffa, continues the tradition of innovative wine making. Ruby red color with red fruit aromas and herb floral scents. On the palate flavors of sour cherry, dried berries, cinnamon, licorice and tobacco notes. Soft tannins complement fruit to long finish ending with earthy mineral oak. Showing black fruits with light wood, spices, dark chocolates and coffee.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate and very fruity.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

A little unbalanced, but drinkable nonetheless. Spicy and entertaining.

A good everyday wine. Good by itself and good for parties.
