A great district for quality Pinot Noir is the Adelaide Hills. A producer new to me - Georgie found on the menu at Rick Shores at Burleigh Heads. Also attracted by the Ashton Vineyard. Red fruits of strawberry and raspberry made in the natural style sourcing fruit from biodynamic vineyards at Gentle Folk - juicy and fresh. 50% whole bunch in the ferment. — 2 years ago

Ruby coloration with some translucency. On the nose, cherry, strawberry and raspberry with hints of balsamic. On the palate, tannins are still present after 10 years and holding their own. The flavors are layered with oak, followed by balsamic and the fruit and minerals. On the palate, the wine has definite power, but drinks as something delicate, elegant and complex. The finish carries on for a long time and I found this wine to be a nice surprise. — 10 months ago
