A top vintage for Unico, and one to live forever, 04 is in an amazing spot, decadently layered and hedonistic with an impeccable balance of both power and elegance. The palate is expansive, silky and rich with melting tannins and massive length. A stellar Unico. — 17 days ago
Fantastic tempranillo with exactly what you want: easy-drinking and fruit-forward on the front with some tannic lingering at the finish. — 22 days ago
Always special and balanced with meat. — 3 days ago
Delicious red wine! I’d get this again. — 13 days ago
Although not as prestigious as Unico, this Valbuena 5 was an absolute delight! Rich and balanced, it paired perfectly with fowl (pigeon). — 6 days ago
Surprisingly tart/fruity considering the vintage. Nice tannins. — 5 days ago
Smells of cocoa and violets, deep garnet with bright fresh acidity and again cocoa and violets, fine backbone and long finish. Delicious. — 9 days ago

Love it. Though big, bold, and high al at 14.5%, a great example of a rioja w some age. Prob could age much longer. Very tart fruit. Fruit better defined day one vs day two. For $40, definitely worth it. Why ever drink a 2yr old CA cab and pay $100+??!! — 11 days ago
