Mature Syrah exactly as it should be. Patience was rewarded. Tannins softened and the super bright fruit of youth given way to dry versions of themselves with black pepper and meat still showing through with leather and earth. — 10 months ago
— 2 years ago
Proof positive that WA southern style can sge beautifully. Red fruit leaning towards dry versions with dried flowers vamilla spice earth and bark. Color is medium ruby still with a little brick starting to show. — 10 months ago
Pop and pour. Notes from about 2 hrs open. Hmm, this has darkened a lot in style. Still a touch of incense and red raspberry, but showing much more garrigue and olive tapenade than when it was younger. On the palate: solid acidity and just so giving. Very enjoyable and fun to drink next to a Betz Besoleil with similar age to compare new world--old school with old world--classically-styled. — 2 years ago
Lovely sweet dark finish with Pat’s grilled steak and grandchildren ($60). — 6 months ago

"Odedi"
Deep Inky in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose, and dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black fruits with wood, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs, earth, dark chocolates and peppercorn.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 14 year old Syrah from Red Mountain in Washington State is delicious now. Tangy and interesting.
Needed 2 hours to open up properly. Worth the wait.
Big and juicy. Bold and good by itself or with food.
14.4% alcohol by volume.
92 points. — 2 months ago
