Tannins on this are intense, but smooth (as usual). Big, leathery red fruit dominates initially but as that fades interesting mineral notes and dusty texture linger among the slowly ebbing fruit. This is very young still. In 4-8 years, this will be mind blowing. :)

Luscious, full bodied. . Deep color and a great sipper that would be easily paired with pasta.

This wine is dark in the glass. A whiff and you know this wine is a “boy” and not a girl. No floral fruity notes. But, rather, it is smoky leathery with hints of buttery browned apricots. The finish is my favorite part! It lingers long and bold and beautiful. I like this wine a lot! Context of our enjoyment of this wine: we are still in lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic.. trying one new bottle per night. But, this also is the anniversary of my father’s passing, forty three years ago. May the pandemic pass quickly and may the memory of my father be honored, he was a good guy.
