Central Otago, not Tasmania. I was there and missed on the opportunity to try sparkling from there. All the wine I had from there had amazingly, beautiful acidity. I did have a few from Tasmania. 👍🙃

It's delicious, especially after the first of the spring lawn care regimen, 6H later, I'm beat.

Jumpin' Juice (Patrick Sullivan)

Half Full Pinot Blend 2021

This is a blend of syrah, cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
The wine is red but completely translucid like a Tavel wine. The nose is funky with dome discreet barnyard notes, a typical herbaceous note that I associate with Sauvignon Blanc, some minerally notes like crushed rocks, pomegranate and strawberry too. Very interesting!
The palate shows a good acid drive, pomegranate and strawberry notes all along, some width, a soft and gentle mouthfeel that changes in the rear with some lively tannins that create another layer over a rather long and fruity finish with pomegranate and strawberry. It's fresh and fun, it's super easy going. Textbook glouglou wine. Enjoyed slightly chilled. 12,5% abv.

Graeme's Blend Shiraz Cabernet 2007

Plush, ripe with good length — 5 years ago

Bress

Heathcote & Bendigo Shiraz 2006

Earthy aromas with a touch of iodine with medicinal/cough medicine type aromas. Pruney notes. None of this is a negative, in fact pretty typical Heathcote. Known as a home for full bodied Shiraz but this wine at 12 years with supple tannins and medium to full bodied is very drinkable for someone who is gravitating away from full throttle Shiraz. — 6 years ago

Bendigo Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Light ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of cherry, leather, strawberry, tar. Musty on the nose. Medium-light body with grippy (youthful) tannins and plus acidity. Balanced finish. Age-worthy. — 10 months ago

Excellent Syrah, it’s mature, slight jammy notes on the nose and a dry finish, else great balance. — 5 years ago

Bendigo Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Blackberry, black currant, wet tobacco, touch of mint and bay leaf with sweet oak spice in tow. Ripe tannins, acidity meshed nicely but the finish is a touch sweet and confected. — 6 years ago
