Liberal La Fleur De Haut Bages Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

I really regret opening this and wish I had kept racked, but the fruit was bright, almost jammy. Light on tannins, alcohol medium, very smooth. Also a great French red. — 3 years ago

Reserva Colchagua Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Odd duck. It could be other factors but this was my favorite to date — 3 years ago

Marie-Laure Lurton

La Tour de Bessan Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

2022 vintage. Dark red, much deeper colour than usual for this estate. Marie-Laure Lurton seems to have gone for a bit more extraction in this exceptional vintage. More powerful than usual, with a fresh black fruit personality, embedded in a tight, ripe tannic structure. Serious length too. Decanting recommended,as it showed better the next day. Ab. 14%. — a month ago

Selection Vieilles Vignes Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

I don’t drink much Bordeaux, not sure why. Maybe the choices are a bit overwhelming for me 🤷‍♀️ this one is medium bodied, has smooth tannins, not much fruit. — 3 years ago

@Sharon B same..my first Bordeaux ( many years ago) tasted like Band-Aids gone really bad. I do have a Lynch Bages 2016 in waiting. BUT most people do not touch this wine for 20 yrs +. Not sure how well I will enjoy that at age 75!! As I contemplate my wine purchases over time...!

Clos de Lolol Single Vineyard Lolol Valley Red Blend 2018

CLO de Lolo red blend from Chile : carmenere 36%, syrah 25%, cabernet franc 25%, cabernet sauvignon 10%, malbec 2%, petit verdot 2%.
This has a beautiful light bouquet of violets and honeysuckle. So slippery and buttery on the palate opening with dark currant, blackberry, and raspberry notes. Cigar box and pepper mid way through followed by tart berries and a hint of chocolate. The finish is very dry leaving you ready for a sip of water. Love this carnival! What a blend of fun!!!
